Which colleges accept the most military credits?

Hi guys, I'm a junior in high school who's also seriously considering a path in the military. My question is, which colleges are known for offering the best credit transfers for military training experiences?

Several colleges and universities are particularly mindful of accepting credits from the military experience. These schools work closely with the American Council on Education (ACE) to evaluate and recommend college credit for military training and experiences.

1. American Military University (AMU): AMU accepts most military training as credit toward a degree and is extremely popular among active duty military personnel for this reason.

2. Thomas Edison State University: This institution is known for its generous transfer policy, accepting more credits than many other colleges and universities.

3. Excelsior College: Excelsior has a large military student population because of its willingness to accept military credits. However, each degree program may have different restrictions on transferable credits, so you should verify the specifics of your desired program.

4. University of Maryland Global Campus: UMGC is another institution that actively works with military students, translating military experience into academic credit.

5. Drexel University: Drexel has a military transition program that converts military training into academic credits and even offers a tuition reduction for military personnel.

Remember these would relate to the ACE-recommended credits. It's important to speak to admissions counselors at these institutions to understand how your specific experiences may translate into academic credit. The number of credits that will transfer, or the degree to which they will apply directly to your degree, will vary on a case-by-case basis.
