Military Automatic Acceptance Colleges?

Hey, I've heard there's some colleges that have automatic acceptance if you're in the military. Can anyone help me create a list of these schools? I'd be super grateful, I want to weigh all my options.

You're right that some colleges and universities offer benefits to current military personnel and veterans. However, these benefits are typically not automatic admission, but rather, they're often in the form of fee waivers, course credit for military service, flexible schedules, or extra support services. Even with these “veteran friendly” colleges, there still tends to be an application and admissions process to ensure a good academic fit.

If you're part of the military, key things you may want to look for in choosing a college include whether the school participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which can provide additional financial aid to veterans beyond what's available through the Post-9/11 GI Bill, whether they award academic credit for military training and experience, and if they have resources and support specifically for military personnel and veterans.

However, there are colleges with open admissions policies, which essentially means that all applicants with a high school diploma or GED are accepted. You may want to be cautious with these schools, though, as they can sometimes be less rigorous academically and may not offer the resources and support you need to succeed. Some examples of these schools include Western Governors University and Kaplan University.

Definitely do your research before selecting a college. Be sure that the institution is regionally accredited and has programs that fit your academic and career goals. It's also important to look into graduation rates and student reviews to get a sense of the quality of education and student support offered.
