PA or bust! Need college advice for an Education Major

I'm a junior who'll be applying to colleges next year. Pennsylvania is really attractive to me. I plan on becoming a teacher. Can anyone point out the best colleges in PA for education majors?

Sure, I'd be happy to help you identify some of the top colleges for Education majors in Pennsylvania!

1. University of Pennsylvania is a prestigious institution known for its Graduate School of Education. Although Education is not an undergraduate major, undergrad students can pursue a minor in Education and Society. If you think you might be interested in graduate study, UPenn could be a great place to start.

2. Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) offers a wide range of Education programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Their College of Education consistently ranks high nationally.

3. Temple University also has a strong College of Education and Human Development, and its urban location in Philadelphia offers opportunities for practical experience in diverse educational settings.

4. West Chester University has a well-regarded College of Education and Social Work. It's especially known for preparing future teachers and offers more than 30 teacher certification programs.

Keep in mind that these are just a few examples. Other potential options could include Lehigh University, Villanova University, and Saint Joseph's University. It might be helpful to visit some of these schools if possible, or at least explore their websites in depth to learn more about their education programs.

Remember to consider factors beyond the strength of the program, like the size and location of the college, the types of student organizations available, and the cost of attendance. Likewise, it's a good idea to check each college's teacher certification pass rates, since you'll need to pass certification tests to become a teacher.

Good luck on your college search!
