Diversity at United States Military Academy?

I've been considering United States Military Academy for some time now, but I've also been really keen on finding a school that's racially and ethnically diverse. Can anyone here tell me about the diversity at USMA?

The United States Military Academy (USMA), also known as West Point, implements efforts to create a diverse group of future military leaders. The Academy values diversity as it enhances the educational experience and furthers the understanding and respect among all cadets.

As of now, about 22% of the cadets at the USMA are women and around 38% of the cadet population are students from minority groups. The representation of international students is also significant, with approximately 60 cadets representing about 30 different countries.

Moreover, West Point emphasizes diversity in an array of aspects such as race, religion, gender, socio-economic background, and geographic origin. As part of their mission, they actively seek to recruit and develop cadets who reflect the diverse population of the United States.

It's important to remember, however, that while these diverse elements are important, the focus at West Point largely remains on unity and solidarity. Ultimately, all cadets at West Point share common goals of becoming leaders in the U.S. Army, serving their country, and upholding the values of Duty, Honor, and Country.
