Public Health college recommendations?

Hello all! Junior here, starting to look for colleges known for their public health major. I definitely want to stay in the US. All suggestions appreciated!

Sure thing, there are several colleges known for their strong Public Health programs, varying from large state schools to smaller private universities. Quick disclaimer: always make sure you research these schools to see if they're a good fit for you beyond just the major, such as campus life, location, financial aid, and other factors.

1. Johns Hopkins University: Known worldwide for their health-focused programs and the Bloomberg School of Public Health. As an undergrad, you can take advantage of proximity to these resources, even though the School of Public Health is a graduate institution.

2. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: UNC Chapel Hill boasts one of the top-ranked Public Health graduate departments in the country. Their undergraduate program is also highly reputable.

3. University of Michigan: Their School of Public Health offers an undergraduate degree in Public Health Sciences or Public Health.

4. Tulane University: Tulane's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine offers an undergraduate degree in Public Health, allowing access to faculty experts and industry connections.

5. University of California--Berkeley: Their School of Public Health offers a robust undergraduate program with a lot of opportunities for research.

Remember, it's important not only to consider the school's reputation but also how well it aligns with your personal career goals, interests, and academic strengths. I'd advise reaching out to admissions or the department directly if you have any specific questions. You might also want to consider related areas of study like Biochemistry, Biology, or Health Sciences if they align more closely with your aspirations. Best of luck on your search!
