Opinions needed on best college majors for vets

Hi ya'll, hopping in here for some advice. I'm a military veteran thinking about heading back to school. What would be some good college majors to consider that leverage my military experience?

As a military veteran, you've already gained a number of key skills that can translate into various academic and career paths. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

1. International Relations/Political Science: Your firsthand knowledge of the military could be incredibly useful in these fields. International Relations could offer a fresh perspective on issues of global security and diplomacy. Political Science could lead to jobs in national security, foreign policy, or even politics.

2. Criminal Justice/Criminology: Your disciplined mindset and the leadership skills you've developed in the military could be hugely beneficial here. Criminal Justice could open doors to law enforcement careers, while Criminology could lead to careers focused on understanding the social aspects of crime.

3. Computer Science: Military operations often involve advanced technology, so if you had exposure to this during your service and enjoyed it, Computer Science could be a good fit. Many tech companies value the discipline and teamwork skills that military veterans bring to the table.

4. Psychology: If you're interested in the wellbeing of your fellow service members, consider a degree in Psychology. This could lead to a career as a military counselor or a veteran's affairs worker.

5. Engineering: If your service involved the use of sophisticated equipment or infrastructure development, an Engineering major could be fitting. Both Civil and Mechanical Engineering can be particularly aligned with military experience.

Remember, it's important to choose something you're passionate and curious about. Your military experience is an asset regardless of which major you choose.
