Looking into colleges with good Army ROTC programs - any recommendations?

I'm currently a junior and considering a career in the military post-college. I've heard that colleges offering Army ROTC are a great option. Any thoughts or recommendations on this? Would be cool to hear about your experiences.

You're absolutely right that Army ROTC programs can provide a solid foundation for a military career while offering a traditional college experience. Here's a few schools with impressive Army ROTC programs:

1. University of Notre Dame: This school has a long-standing tradition with ROTC, and their Army program is highly rated. Their ROTC cadets are given leadership opportunities in multiple clubs and organizations on campus.

2. Virginia Tech: Their Corps of Cadets program is similarly respected and offers a "military lifestyle" more akin to service academies. It's one of the six senior military colleges in the country.

3. Texas A&M University: Like Virginia Tech, Texas A&M is a senior military college, priding itself on its Corps of Cadets program that has produced many successful military leaders.

Now, it's important to note that the best ROTC program for you doesn't necessarily need to be at a traditionally military-focused university. Sometimes, finding a strong ROTC program at a college that also suits your academic interests and personal preferences can be the best way to go.

Remember that ROTC scholarships can help offset the cost of college, too. The application process generally starts the summer before your senior year, so it's something you might want to start looking at soon.

Lastly, engaging with any of these colleges' admissions departments will be a great way for you to gauge whether or not their ROTC program fits your needs and aspirations. Schedule a call or find virtual events to learn more about these programs. It's always beneficial to get information straight from the source. Good luck with your search!
