What's the best college to attend while in the Military?

Hey everyone, hope your day's going well. I'm currently serving in the military and I've been contemplating my options for further education. Just wondering if there are any good colleges that may be more compatible with my military commitments? Any input or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, there are several reputable institutions that offer flexible program options for active duty military members. These programs often provide the opportunity to study online, allowing students to balance their educational goals with their military commitments.

1) American Military University (AMU): AMU is an online school that was created by a former marine. It offers more than 200 academic programs ranging from certificate-level to doctoral. They understand the distinct needs of military students, making them a highly attractive option.

2) Penn State World Campus: As the online division of Pennsylvania State University, Penn State World Campus offers a wide variety of programs, many of which are ranked among the best in the U.S. Active duty military members residing anywhere in the U.S. are eligible for the in-state tuition rate, regardless of their physical location.

3) University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC): UMGC has a long history of catering to military students, having specialized in adult education since its inception. They have a substantial number of online courses and a policy for granting college credit for military training and experience.

4) Excelsior College: Excelsior College is well-known for awarding credit for military training. It offers a wide variety of online degrees and has a special policy for military withdrawals, in case a deployment interrupts your education.

5) Arizona State University (ASU) Online: ASU Online offers more than 200 online degrees and receives high rankings for innovation. It's been recognized as a 'Military Friendly School' due to its considerable military-affiliated population and dedicated military advocacy services.

Remember, when choosing a college, consider factors such as program offerings, flexibility, cost (and military tuition assistance), and accreditation status, among others. Every service member is unique, and the "best" college will depend on your personal career goals, learning style, and personal circumstances.
