Recommendations for colleges with strong non-profit majors?

I've been involved with nonprofit organizations throughout high school and I want to continue that path in my further studies. I'm looking for good colleges with majors related to non-profit management. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It's wonderful that you're eager to continue your involvement with nonprofit organizations in college. A number of colleges offer majors or concentrations in non-profit management or similar fields. Here are a few recommendations:

1. Indiana University-Bloomington: The Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Bloomington offers an undergraduate degree in Public and Nonprofit Management. This program provides students with a solid foundation in managing and leading nonprofit organizations.

2. University of Pennsylvania: UPenn's School of Social Policy & Practice has a Nonprofit Leadership specialization as part of its Social Impact and Responsibility major. It's a strong program anchored in one of the world's leading research universities.

3. University of Michigan: UMich's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy offers a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, and students can focus much of their upper-level coursework on public and non-profit management.

4. Georgetown University: Georgetown's McCourt School of Public Policy has an undergraduate major in Public Policy, which allows students to delve deep into the functioning and management of non-profit organizations.

5. New York University: NYU's Wagner School of Public Service offers a major in Public Policy with a special focus on non-profit management.

In your applications, emphasize your past experiences and commitment to the non-profit sector. Detail any leadership roles you've had, significant projects you've undertaken, or tangible results of your work. This practical experience, coupled with your academic pursuits, will be appealing to these programs focused on non-profit management. It's also always a good idea to reach out to the departments of interest to ask specific questions and show your genuine interest. Good luck with your college search!
