Best colleges in California for an accounting major?

Hi guys, I'm very interested in pursuing accounting in college. Does anyone know which colleges in California are known for their accounting programs? Any input is welcome.

Sure, I'm happy to assist! Accounting is a great field to study, and California has several noteworthy programs.

1. University of Southern California (USC) - USC's Leventhal School of Accounting ranks consistently among the top programs in the nation. They offer a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a number of graduate accounting programs.

2. University of California, Berkeley - Although Berkeley doesn't offer an undergraduate accounting program, they have a top-rated business school, Haas, where you can learn accounting principles. Their Master of Accounting program is robust as well.

3. Santa Clara University - Their Leavey School of Business offers a strong Accounting program. They also have a Combined Bachelor's & Master's program in Accounting, which lets you earn both degrees in five years.

4. California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) - Their College of Business and Economics has an accredited Department of Accounting offering a B.S. in Business Administration with an option in Accounting.

Also, San Diego State University, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and Loyola Marymount University all provide popular undergraduate and graduate accounting programs.

Remember, you should consider factors like the school's overall fit, opportunities for internships in your area of interest, job placement rates in accounting roles, and CPA exam pass rates when choosing an accounting program. Best of luck with your college search!
