Which D1 colleges are great for finance majors?

Hey, I'm a rising junior hoping to do a finance major at a D1 school. I also want to balance academics with another passion of mine, sports. Could y'all share any insights about which D1 colleges have strong finance programs?

Absolutely, it's definitely possible to pursue a finance major while also remaining active in sports. There are a good number of Division I schools recognized for their exceptional finance programs. Here are some you might want to explore:

1. University of Pennsylvania: UPenn's Wharton School is consistently top-rated for its finance program. As a member of the Ivy League, UPenn also offers high-level D1 sports.

2. University of Notre Dame: Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business has a highly regarded undergraduate finance program. The Fighting Irish compete in D1 sports, with a particularly well-known football program.

3. University of Michigan: The Ross School of Business at UMich has a strong finance program. As part of the Big Ten Conference, they field numerous competitive D1 sports teams.

4. New York University: Although not traditionally known for their athletics, NYU's Stern School is world-renowned for finance. NYU competes in DIII athletics, but being in New York City offers a lot of leisure activities.

5. University of Texas at Austin: The McCombs School of Business at UT Austin is known for its finance program. The Longhorns are a D1 university with a very active sports culture especially in football and basketball.

Remember that while these are all excellent schools with strong finance programs, it's critical to also consider other factors such as cost, location, campus culture, and overall fit to your personal and academic preferences. An excellent first step for you could be reaching out to the schools’ admissions offices or finance departments to see if you can get into contact with current students or faculty who can share their experiences.
