Navigating the Common App: Reporting College Courses?

Hey everyone, I'm kinda confused about the Common App section where I need to report college courses I've taken. How exactly do I enter this info, and what’s the proper way to categorize dual enrollment classes? Tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! It's great that you're looking to accurately report your college courses on the Common App. Within the Education section, you'll find a subsection titled ‘Colleges & Universities.’ Here you should list the college where you've taken courses, even if those were dual enrollment classes.

Following that, within the ‘Grades’ subsection, there's a place to report ‘College/University Courses.’ Enter each course as it appears on your college transcript, with the correct credit value. As for categorization, dual enrollment classes should be reported as ‘College’ level courses, regardless of being taken at a high school or college campus.

Be sure to provide all the details requested, including the course level, subject area, and grade if available. Your guidance counselor can also verify this information, so it complements what's provided in your official transcript. Best of luck with your application!
