Best college for psychology studies?

Hey everyone! Junior here. Seriously starting to think about applying to colleges and I'm really leaning towards a psychology major. Any suggestions on the best colleges for this major?

There are quite a few schools known for their strong psychology programs. Depending on your specific interests within psychology, some schools might suit you better than others, but here are a few notable ones:

1. Stanford University: Stanford's psychology department is often ranked as one of the best in the nation. They offer both BA and BS degrees in psychology and have strong faculty across several areas of psychology.

2. University of California--Los Angeles (UCLA): UCLA's psychology department is also typically ranked quite highly. They offer social, cognitive, and physiological psychology courses, among others.

3. Yale University: Yale's psychology department includes many renowned faculty members and is known for their broad coursework and interdisciplinary approach.

4. University of Pennsylvania (UPenn): UPenn has a unique program where students can major in "Neuroscience and Society" to pair traditional psychology coursework with the study of the societal impact of neuroscience.

5. University of Michigan--Ann Arbor: Known for its research opportunities in psychology and offers many opportunities for undergraduates to get involved.

Remember, there's no definitive "best" choice because it depends on what you're looking for in a program. Are you interested in clinical or experimental psychology? Is the option to participate in research important to you? Do you want a program that connects psychology with another discipline like neuroscience or sociology? Be sure to consider not just the reputation of the psychology program, but how well it meets your own academic and career goals.
