New York State Psychology Programs

I've always wanted to study in New York, and ever since I took psych in high school, I've loved it. I would appreciate suggestions on the best colleges for psychology in New York State.

New York State offers a plethora of excellent options for psychology programs, both in public and private universities.

One of the most renowned schools for psychology is Columbia University in the City of New York, which consistently ranks within the top universities globally. The psychology department at Columbia is distinguished by a strong commitment to research, and offers well-rounded breadth and depth in various areas of psychology.

New York University (NYU) also has a highly-rated psychology program. At NYU, students get the chance to explore numerous facets of psychology--including cognition and perception, social psychology, and psychopathology--under the guidance of top tier faculty.

For public universities, consider the psychology programs in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The flagship campus at SUNY Stony Brook, for example, boasts a particularly strong psychology department with renowned faculty and quality research opportunities.

Another notable mention is Cornell University in Ithaca.
