Best Military Colleges in Indianapolis?

Hey all, I've been looking into military colleges specifically in the Indianapolis area, since it's actually where I'm from. Wondering what the best ones are in Indianapolis or even in Virginia as I've heard there are some really good options there too. Can anyone recommend any colleges that also has flexible options for military students? Thanks in advance!

While Indianapolis doesn't have a traditional military college, it is home to several institutions with strong Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The first one that comes to mind is Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) which has an Army ROTC program. The program prepares students to become officers in the U.S. Army upon graduation.

Another option in Indianapolis is the University of Indianapolis, also known as UIndy. It offers an Army ROTC program, giving students the opportunity to earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard upon graduation.

Virginia, on the other hand, is home to two of the nation's six Senior Military Colleges: The Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. VMI is known for its rigorous academic program along with military discipline, while Virginia Tech is a larger university with a full array of academic offerings and a separate corps of cadets.

In terms of flexibility, many college ROTC units work with students to manage their academic and military training schedules. They understand that you're there to earn a degree first and foremost, and they do their best to ensure that your training enhances your education, rather than detracts from it.

Remember, wherever you choose to attend, take advantage of the services available to veteran and military students. These can include counseling services, academic advising, and assistance with maximizing your military education benefits. You worked hard for these benefits, so it's worth looking into opportunities to make them work hard for you.
