Dual Enrollment at Georgia Military College Augusta - thoughts?

I'm currently a junior and considering a dual enrollment program at Georgia Military College Augusta. Has anyone gone through this, or known someone who has? How did it work out for you/ them? Any advice or insight would be really helpful.

Dual Enrollment programs in general can be an excellent opportunity for high school students to gain both high school and college credits simultaneously, which can give you a great head-start in your college journey and reduce the amount of time and money spent on your degree. Plus, they expose you to the rigors and expectations of college-level coursework, which can be highly beneficial in preparing you for full-time college life.

As for the dual enrollment program at Georgia Military College Augusta specifically, its strong points are the flexibility of course schedules and the variety of course offerings which span across a broad range of subjects, not just limited to military-related studies. Another positive aspect is the support they provide to dual enrolled students in terms of guidance and resources.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is the military aspect of the institution. While it isn't a military academy per se, it does incorporate military values and discipline into its educational structure. If you're comfortable with that environment, it can help with character building and instilling a strong work ethic.

Remember, it's important to consult with your high school counselor and parents concerning the demands of the program as dual enrollment might lessen your time for extracurricular activities. Also, ensure the credits you'll earn will be accepted by the colleges you're interested in.

Lastly, for an accurate assessment, you might want to reach out directly to current students or recent graduates of the program or check out reviews online.
