Nutrition Programs at California colleges?

Nutrition interests me a lot, and I'm looking at California colleges specifically. Any ideas which colleges offer solid nutrition programs?

There are some well-regarded California universities that offer reputable nutrition programs. A few of these include:

1. University of California, Davis: UC Davis is known for its Food Science and Nutrition program, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. level education. Their program is comprehensive and interdisciplinary, covering topics from the molecular/biochemical aspects of nutrition to its application within health and disease.

2. California State University, Long Beach: They have a Bachelor's program in Dietetics and Food Administration with the option to concentrate in Nutrition and Dietetics. This curriculum is designed for students who want to become registered dietitians.

3. San Diego State University (SDSU): Their program in Foods and Nutrition is a notable program that provides a diverse range of coursework. Also, the program provides preparation for a career in clinical dietetics, community nutrition, and foodservice administration.

Each of these programs prepares its students for work as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and offers experiential learning opportunities in addition to rigorous coursework. I encourage you to explore each of these programs and see which one fits your academic and career goals the best.

Remember that each school offers distinct experiences beyond the major itself, including extracurricular activities, research opportunities, campus culture, and more that should also play into your decision. Good luck!
