What college majors require the least math?

Math isn't really my strong suit but I definitely want to go to college. So, I was wondering, what kind of majors should I look at if I want to avoid lots of math classes?

Interestingly, there are numerous college majors that typically require little to no advanced mathematics. Remember, these can still vary a bit depending on the college, but here are a few to consider:

1. English Literature: Generally, English Literature majors focus on analyzing, understanding, and discussing literature, which doesn’t typically involve any advanced math. You'll spend your time on reading, writing, and critical thinking.

2. History: History majors also focus more on critical thinking, analysis, and writing about historical events and figures than on math.

3. Communications: Communications majors learn about how people communicate effectively, often focusing on writing, public speaking, and media analysis, which usually requires little math.

4. Social Work: This discipline leans more towards human interaction, counseling skills, and understanding social and cultural structures.

5. Political Science: This major is about understanding government structures, political beliefs and ideologies, and international relations. While some university programs might require courses in statistics or data analysis, it's usually minimal.

6. Art and Art History: These disciplines are centered on cultivating your creative or analytical skills related to art and typically do not involve math.

Do keep in mind, though, that regardless of your major, most colleges require students to complete some credits in general education, which could include a basic math course. It's also worth mentioning that an aversion to math shouldn't limit your choice of major. Even in majors where some math may be required, you could still be successful. College isn't just about sticking to what you're comfortable with - it's also about challenging yourself and learning new skills.
