Searching a Low-Drug-Use Environment in College

Hey guys, I'm really focused on maintaining a substance-free lifestyle in college. Does anyone know which colleges are known for having less drug use on campus? I figure not everybody's into that scene. Please point me to a list or a source if possible!

From my understanding, the drug use on campuses is somewhat subjective and can vary from person to person due to different factors of such as size, location, and community values. Nonetheless, there are colleges that do put a strong emphasis on creating a substance-free environment for their students.

For instance, schools like Wheaton College in Illinois, Brigham Young University in Utah, and College of the Ozarks in Missouri, are well known for their substance-free policies and environments.

These institutions have strict drug and alcohol policies that are enforced both on and off campus. In addition, they often provide extensive programming to educate their communities about the risks associated with drug and alcohol use and frequently host substance-free events and activities.

Remember though, even in colleges that are known to have rigorous substance-free policies, ultimate compliance falls onto the students themselves. Attending college is a personal journey where you're likely to encounter a variety of different attitudes and behaviors. It's important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals and take advantage of support resources, like on-campus counseling and support groups. Doing so will ensure you maintain the substance-free lifestyle you desire, regardless of the overall campus culture.

While I do not have a complete list of colleges known for having reduced drug activity, doing some online research or reaching out directly to the schools you're interested in could provide more clarity about the environment on campus. You might also find it helpful to speak with current students or alums to get a firsthand account of what the environment is like.
