Where can I find a comprehensive list of military colleges in America?

Hi all, I'm really interested in potentially going into a military college after high school, but I'm having a hard time finding a complete list of all American military colleges out there. Anyone got some resources?

Sure thing! While I can't provide a direct link, I can guide you on how to find a comprehensive list of military colleges in the United States:

1. The U.S Service Academies: These five federal academies provide undergraduate education and training of commissioned officers for the U.S Armed Forces. They are: The United States Military Academy at West Point (Army), the United States Naval Academy (Navy/Marine Corps), the United States Air Force Academy (Air Force), the United States Coast Guard Academy (Coast Guard) and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

2. Senior Military Colleges: There are six senior military colleges in the U.S. that offer a military environment while their students can choose whether they wish to serve in the military after graduation: Norwich University, Virginia Military Institute, The Citadel, Texas A&M University, North Georgia College & State University, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

3. Maritime Academies: These institutions provide training to merchant mariners: Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, State University of New York Maritime College, Great Lakes Maritime Academy, California Maritime Academy, and Texas A&M Maritime Academy.

For a more thorough list, you could use a professional college search tool like College Board's "BigFuture" or CollegeVine. You can set the filter to 'military or service academies' to get a list of military colleges.

It's important to note that while these schools provide excellent opportunities and training, entrance can be very competitive and often involves a nomination process from a U.S. Representative or Senator. Good luck with your search!
