List of Military Schools Near Texas

Hey there, I'm a junior from Texas and have started to think about my options post-graduation. I'm leaning towards the military now and was wondering if anyone could help me with a list of military schools/colleges in and around Texas. I need a place that offers decent education and has strong military training. Any ideas?

Absolutely. There are several military-focused institutions around Texas that offer strong academic and military training programs. Here's a list of some to consider:

1. Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas: Texas A&M is one of the six senior military colleges in the United States. They are popular for their strong ROTC program that offers both Army and Air Force ROTC. They also have Corps of Cadets which allows students to engage in military training while completing their education.

2. The University of Texas in Austin, Texas: UT Austin offers Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC programs.

3. Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas: Texas Tech provides Navy, Army, and Air Force ROTC programs too.

4. University of North Texas in Denton, Texas: Offers Army and Air Force ROTC programs.

In addition, you can look into New Mexico Military Institute and Norwich University which are just a bit farther afield. New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico is a military junior college offering a two-year program. Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont is recognized as the birthplace of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC).

Remember that ROTC programs can provide terrific opportunities, including scholarships and a clear path to serving as an officer in the U.S. military after graduation. When considering these programs, be sure to consider the type of military service you're interested in (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.), as not every school offers every type of program.
