Which colleges in Jacksonville, Florida are supportive of military pursuits?

I'm going through the whole considering-college thing and I'm thinking about possibly participating in ROTC in college as a pathway to a military career. So, I'm curious to know, which colleges in Jacksonville, Florida are known to be supportive? Any guidance would be absolutely amazing!

There are a few colleges in Jacksonville, Florida that have strong ROTC programs and are supportive of students pursuing a military career. Here are a few examples:

1. Jacksonville University: This university offers both Navy ROTC and Air Force ROTC programs. The Navy ROTC program prepares midshipmen for careers as naval officers, while the Air Force ROTC program at Jacksonville University prepares students for leading roles in the U.S. Air Force.

2. University of North Florida: While the University of North Florida does not have its own ROTC program on campus, it offers cross-town agreements with both the Air Force ROTC program at Jacksonville University and the Army ROTC program at the University of Florida. This means that students can attend UNF while participating in the ROTC program at one of the other universities.

3. Edward Waters College: This institution has an Army ROTC partnership with the University of Florida as well. Students attend ROTC classes, leadership labs, and physical training at the University of Florida while completing their degree at Edward Waters College.

Similar to UNF and Edward Waters, students who decide to attend other colleges in Jacksonville can also participate in ROTC through a cross-town agreement. Each program offers scholarships that can cover tuition, textbooks, and provide monthly allowances.

Remember, before you decide, it'd be good to reach out to the ROTC programs at these universities or visit their websites. That way, you'll know exactly what they offer and what will be expected of you in terms of time commitment and academics.
