How many years of college are typically required for a Military Nurse?

Hey guys, currently I'm a junior and pondering a career as a military nurse. Does anyone know how many years of college I would need to get there? Is there a time commitment in the military after graduation to consider as well?

To become a military nurse, you'll typically need to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, which usually takes about four years. This is a requirement for most branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force. In addition to your nursing degree, you'd also need to pass the NCLEX-RN exam to become a registered nurse.

Once you've completed your degree and passed your exam, you'd then apply to become a nurse in the military. This might include further training specific to the branch of the military you're joining. And yes, there will be a service commitment once you're commissioned as an officer. This service commitment varies by branch but typically is at least three years, and can be longer if the military helped pay for your education.

Considering the benefits available, such as tuition assistance and healthcare, as well as the opportunity to serve, becoming a military nurse can be a rewarding career path.
