Financial Aid for Military Spouses for College?

Hi all! My partner is in the military and we move around a lot. I'm thinking about going to college, but we're not rolling in dough, if you get my drift. I've heard there can be some good financial aid options for military spouses, can anyone point me in the right direction to start looking? Any personal experiences or advice would be awesome!

There are quite a few resources available for military spouses, so you're thinking in the right direction! You'll find several scholarships and grants that are exclusive to military spouses, aimed at helping you finance your education.

Some starting places include the "My Career Advancement Account" (MyCAA) scholarship. This Department of Defense program provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible spouses of service members on active duty.

A military-related scholarship database like Military.com's Scholarship Finder can also be an excellent tool. This searchable database includes a variety of options for spouses of active duty, reserve, and retired members.

Also, look into the Spouse Education Assistance Program (SEAP) and the Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship, both of which are offered by the National Military Family Association.

Remember, every little bit counts when it comes to paying for college. It’s worth applying to multiple scholarships to maximize your chances of winning. Good luck with your journey back to school — your dedication and adaptability as a military spouse will serve you well in the college setting!
