Public Health programs in military-friendly colleges?

Hey guys, does anyone know any military-friendly colleges that have a solid public health program? Any advice or stories would be much appreciated.

Sure, I'd be happy to help with that. A few military-friendly institutions that come to mind with strong Public Health programs are:

1. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: Known to have one of the best public health programs in the country. They even have their own Gillings School of Global Public Health. Additionally, UNC Chapel Hill participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the law that created the Post-9/11 GI Bill. This program allows approved institutions of higher learning and the VA (Veterans Affairs) to partially or fully fund tuition and fee expenses exceeding the established thresholds under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

2. University of California, Los Angeles: UCLA has a very reputable public health program encased in their Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health. It also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, similarly to UNC Chapel Hill.

3. George Washington University: Home to the Milken Institute School of Public Health, GWU is located in Washington D.C., offering convenient access to numerous health-based organizations and resources. They are participants of the Yellow Ribbon Program as well.

4. Tulane University: Not only is Tulane ranked as a top national university, but it also boasts its own School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The university participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program and has been recognized for its stellar services for veterans and active-duty service members.

Make sure to inquire about military education benefits at each school when you're applying. Schools have different policies about which benefits they participate in and who is eligible. It's always best to check with the school's veterans services office directly to get the most accurate information. Remember to consider fit in other areas, too: location, size, culture, and other factors that matter to you should also play into your decision.
