Thoughts on New Hampshire's military colleges?

Hey! I'm a junior in high school and considering going to a military college in New Hampshire. Anyone here have any details about the quality of these colleges? Input from alumni or current students would be extra helpful.

New Hampshire hosts one prominent military-focused college, Norwich University. Although located in Northfield, Vermont, it's relatively close to New Hampshire and frequently draws students from there.

Norwich University, established in 1819, is recognized as the oldest private military college in the United States. It offers both a military and civilian lifestyle to its students. For those interested in the military path, Norwich provides the Corps of Cadets - a military lifestyle that's designed to develop leaders of character.

The college offers a variety of degree programs in fields like engineering, business, architecture, and liberal arts, among others. Norwich University is recognized for its engineering program, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Besides the rigorous academic curriculum, Norwich University emphasizes leadership and experiential learning. Many of their graduates become commissioned officers in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.

From a student's perspective, the experience at Norwich University is unique. The Corps of Cadets lifestyle creates tight bonds among students and fosters a sense of camaraderie. Additionally, the smaller class sizes allow for personalized attention and direct professor-student interactions, which can greatly enhance your academic experience.

On the downside, given the military structure, the atmosphere is understandably more constrained compared to most civilian schools. It's definitely a commitment to a lifestyle that's not for everyone. But if you're interested in a disciplined environment that underscores leadership, responsibility, and character, you can consider Norwich University.

Keep in mind that it's important to visit and get a firsthand experience (if possible) to see if it aligns with your aspirations and comfort level. Be sure to connect with current students and alumni to hear their experiences and gain from their wisdom.
