What are the best and most affordable online college options?

When considering affordability and quality in online education, a few universities usually stand out.

Arizona State University is a reputable option for online undergraduate degrees. Known for its solid programs and expansive range of degree choices, ASU Online also offers a cost-effective tuition rate that doesn't discriminate between in-state or out-of-state students.

Another option worth looking into is Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). SNHU has been ahead of the curve in terms of online education, with extensive online degree offerings and a well-established online learning platform. Its affordability also makes it attractive to students looking for budget-friendly education opportunities.

The University of Florida's online program, UF Online, is another great choice. The program offers a broad range of fantastic majors and the University itself is highly accredited academically.

Lastly, consider Western Governors University. Their tuition model is a flat rate per six-month term rather than per credit, which could potentially allow you to save money if you're able to complete more credits in less time.

Remember to apply for federal and state aid using the FAFSA, as well as to look for scholarships. Even online students are typically eligible for this financial assistance. Also consider cost-saving measures like testing out of general education requirements with CLEP exams.

Though affordability is important, it's also essential to look for universities that provide support and resources for online learners. Check out student support services, online learning resources, and the flexibility of the program.
