Which colleges have the reputation of assigning less homework?

Just finished up my junior year and already feeling burnt out. I'm starting to wonder if any colleges are known for assigning less homework? A healthy homework-life balance is really important to me.

While it's challenging to provide a definitive list of schools that assign less homework, as the workload can often vary by major, there are numerous academic environments that prioritize experiential learning, discussions, and project-based assignments over traditional homework. These could offer more balanced and flexible study experiences.

For instance, interdisciplinary schools like Sarah Lawrence College and Hampshire College do not offer traditional majors and instead encourage students to take control of their education. The emphasis is on conducting individual research and engaging in discussions, both of which don't yield copious amounts of homework in a conventional sense.
