Seeking Info on Least Impacted College Properties

Hi! I'm looking into the housing opportunities that specific colleges offer. Could anyone fill me in on which colleges tend to have the least impacted properties? With classes and everything else going on, I'd really prefer a place where I don't have to stress about finding or keeping my housing.

When looking for colleges with least impacted housing, it's useful to consider schools with a high percentage of students living on campus, and/or a formal guarantee of accommodation. Some universities guarantee housing for all four years to all students, whereas some only guarantee housing for first- and second-year students. It's also helpful to look at schools in less populated areas, as student housing options tend to be less impacted in these areas compared to large urban centers.

Stanford University, for instance, guarantees four years of on-campus housing for undergraduate students. This could greatly alleviate worries about housing security, as you'd be guaranteed a place to live throughout your studies.

The University of Notre Dame also guarantees housing for first year students, emphasizing a residential experience where students live in one of the on-campus residential communities.

Rice University in Houston is another example where 100% of first-year students and many upperclassmen live on campus in residential colleges.

At Vanderbilt University, all undergraduates, except those who are married or have registered dependents, are required to live on campus, and it has capacity to house 90% of undergraduates.

Remember that colleges with less impacted properties can be found in various parts of the U.S., and even within urban cities there are universities with excellent housing facilities and accommodations. It's always best to research individual colleges and contact their housing or residential life offices for the most accurate and current information about student housing.
