Looking for less challenging Computer Science programs

I have a pretty rudimentary understanding of CS as of now, but I'm looking to dive deeper without feeling incredibly overwhelmed. Any recommendations for colleges that have programs which aren't super rigorous? I've heard some can be really tough.

Sure, it's completely understandable to want to deepen your understanding of Computer Science at a pace that's comfortable for you. Several schools known for their supportive environments and approachable Computer Science programs that come to mind are:

1. Kansas State University: It has a flexible, interdisciplinary Integrated Computer Science program that allows you complete your degree in person or online.

2. Western Governors University: Their online B.S. in Computer Science program can be completed at your own pace. It's competency-based, which means you'll progress through your studies by proving you've mastered the material—namely, by doing the work you'll be doing in the real world.

3. University of Wisconsin-River Falls: The program is comprehensive but values a supportive study community and personal interactions with professors.

Remember, every student has a different experience with rigor - what may be easy for some might be difficult for others. So, take a look at what specific courses these programs include, assess how comfortable you feel with those topics, and choose the one that feels right for you.

Also, what can make a difference in managing the rigor of the program is how proactive the school is about providing resources to support their students' success, so make sure to also look into tutoring possibilities, faculty office hours, study groups, and other forms of academic support that the schools offer.
