Which colleges have produced the most NFL players traditionally?

Hey all, I'm really passionate about football and am hoping to play in college and potentially beyond. I've been looking for colleges with strong football programs but also where students have made it to the NFL. Do you know which colleges are known for having the most alumni in the NFL? Thanks for your input.

Indeed, there are several universities known for their strong football programs and having a considerable number of alumni who've gone pro. Here's a selection of those traditionally viewed as "football factories":

1. University of Southern California (USC): USC has been a football powerhouse for many years and has produced a significant number of NFL players. The Trojans have over 200 alumni who've played in the NFL.

2. University of Miami: Known as "The U", the University of Miami has a rich history of players going into the NFL, with over 300 alumni having played professionally.

3. University of Notre Dame: With a football program steeped in tradition and history, Notre Dame has seen over 200 of its players make it to the NFL.

4. University of Alabama is another school to consider. Under the leadership of Coach Nick Saban, Alabama has become a dominant force in college football and a frequent supplier of talent to the NFL.

5. Ohio State University: Ohio State has been a regular contender in the College Football Playoff era and has produced a high number of NFL athletes.

6. University of Michigan: While their recent success hasn't been as prominent, the Wolverines still hold a strong track record in terms of producing NFL players.

7. Louisiana State University (LSU): LSU has a longstanding reputation for preparing athletes for the professional level, with its alumni regularly finding success in the NFL.

These are just a few examples. Depending on your position, you may want to look into the specific programs that these schools offer your position specifically. It's important to remember that while these schools have strong football programs and have produced many NFL players, they are also very competitive and require a high level of academic and athletic performance.
