Military colleges in California: Any recommendations?

I'm planning to stay in CA after high school, and I'm quite intrigued by the idea of attending a military college. Can you guys suggest some prominent military colleges in California I should look into?

Certainly, California is home to some reputable military schools.

One that comes to mind is the California Maritime Academy (also known as Cal Maritime), which is located in Vallejo and is part of the California State University system. As a Cal Maritime cadet, you'll wear uniforms, participate in regimental training, and even spend part of your education at sea on the school's training ship. They offer seven different Bachelor of Science degrees in business, engineering, and marine transportation fields.

Another option might be the Naval Postgraduate School, located in Monterey. Though technically a graduate-level institution focused on advanced military studies, they have programs that you might be interested in later on, once you've completed your undergraduate studies elsewhere.

For more structured, military-style discipline paired with college prep, consider a military academy like the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad. Admittedly, it's a boarding school for grades 7-12 and does not grant post-secondary degrees, but it can certainly provide a solid foundation if you're committed to pursuing a military career.

There is also Norwich University, which offers online military college programs for those who want the military college experience but may not be able to attend a physical military college due to various reasons.

Those are the most prominent in the state, but keep in mind that other states host prestigious federal service academies such as West Point (Army), the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy. While these aren't located in California, they're worth considering as they are among the most esteemed military academies worldwide and offer free tuition in exchange for service upon graduation.
