Hey everybody, I've been scrolling through Princeton Review's rankings, and they have lists of the most studious colleges. By any chance, does anyone know which colleges are ranked as the least studious? I think a balanced social and academic environment would suit my needs. Thanks in advance.
Princeton Review indeed conducts surveys and releases rankings every year for different categories, including how academically engaged the students are at various colleges. However, they don't explicitly provide a "least studious" list, primarily due to the negative connotations attached.
That said, there are a few categories like "Lots of Hard Liquor" or "Party Schools" which might give an indirect indication of less academically intense environments. But remember, being on these lists doesn't mean these schools lack solid academic programs. Many highly-ranked institutions also appear on these lists due to the balance of social life and academic rigor.
For a more balanced social and academic environment, you may want to look at schools categorized under "Best Quality of Life" or "Happiest Students." These lists often contain colleges where students enjoy a well-rounded, balanced college experience.
Please do keep in mind that everyone's experience is subjective, and what seems balanced for one might not for another. It's always a great idea to reach out to current students or alumni, participate in virtual college tours, or join online university-specific forums to get a more nuanced understanding of each college's culture and environment.
