Rare College Majors?

Hey everyone, I was just curious and couldn't find a clear answer anywhere, but does anyone know what the least majored in college degree is? I'm curious to find out what some unique field of study options are!

There are certainly unique college degrees out there, especially at larger, diverse universities that offer a breadth of majors. It's tough to determine the least majored in degree, however, because this can vary greatly depending on the university and changes from year to year. However, I'll mention a few less common ones here.

Geophysical Engineering: This is an interdisciplinary study that combines geosciences and engineering. Students learn about earth's environment, including its surface and interior. They use this knowledge to address challenges in resource management, environmental protection, and infrastructure development.

Classics: Not many students major in Classics, even though it can provide a comprehensive education in language, history, and literature. It includes the study of ancient Greek and Latin language and literature along with the history, philosophy, and archaeology of the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Agricultural Science: This one might seem odd to urbanites, but this major is crucial for managing and understanding our food supply. Classes cover everything from animal science to crop production to agribusiness.

Jazz Studies: Not all universities offer this, but it's a fascinating field for those interested in music. The curriculum often includes studying the history of jazz, learning the theoretical framework of jazz, composition, and of course, performance.

Astrophysics: This is a less common branch of science that deals with the principles of physics and chemistry to elucidate the nature of astronomical objects, rather than their positions or motions in space.

Entomology: A bit of an intriguing one. This field is all about the study of insects. It's an important discipline due to the immense impact insects have on agriculture, human health, and understanding biodiversity and biological processes.
