Looking for politically conservative colleges in the US

Hello everyone, I'm starting my college search process and am wondering about the political atmosphere in different colleges. I’m looking for schools with a more conservative bend. Can anyone recommend some of the most conservative colleges in the US? How might I go about researching this? Any chance that these places also have good engineering programs?

Sure, I'm happy to provide you with some suggestions. You might want to look into Hillsdale College in Michigan or Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Both of these schools are known for having a more conservative student body. Pepperdine University in California also tends to lean more conservative and offers a variety of strong programs.

In terms of engineering, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology tends to lean more conservative and is highly rated for its engineering programs. If you're interested in larger schools, Texas A&M University could be a good fit; it's known for engineering and has a more conservative student body relative to many other large universities.

The best way to research the political atmosphere at different colleges is to check student surveys or reviews about the college, which may provide insight into the political leanings of the student body. You could also look for articles or blog posts about the political culture at different schools.

Remember, even at universities with a more conservative reputation, you'll likely still encounter a range of views among the student body, faculty, and staff. Ultimately, the most important thing is to find a school where you feel comfortable and are able to express your views freely.

I would recommend reaching out to current students or alumni to get their perspective, and if possible, visiting the campus or participating in a virtual information session to get a sense of the culture at the school. Good luck with your college search!
