Decent online educational resources for active military personnel?

Hey everyone, I'm currently an active member of the military. Given my situation, traditional on-campus education isn't really an option for me. I've been considering an online program, but I'm unsure of where to begin my search. Are there any colleges that offer good online programs specially designed for members of the military? Would love to hear any suggestions.

Hello! It's wonderful that you're pursuing further education while serving, and I completely understand the unique challenges that can pose. There are indeed many high-quality online educational programs specifically designed for active military personnel, providing flexibility with schedules and deployment shift adjustments.

Arizona State University (ASU) is one such university that offers a comprehensive military program. ASU's online division is well-regarded and has a vast array of degree programs that cater specifically to active-duty military. They have various flexible options that allow you to continue education even during deployment. Plus, they have a dedicated team to assist military personnel with admissions, advising, or any unforeseen issues.

The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is another good option. The UMGC provides several online programs in diverse fields and offers discounted tuition rates for military personnel. They have extensive experience in accommodating the unique needs of active military members and veterans.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide Campus is also a prominent name and specifically caters to members of the military, particularly if you're interested in aviation or engineering.

Lastly, Penn State World Campus and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) both demonstrate longtime commitment to serving military personnel and veterans through their online programs.

When deciding, consider factors like your field of interest, the college's accreditation, transfer policies if you've prior credits, any available military discounts, and their assistance to military students. Remember to get in touch with their military student advisors to get a better understanding of what to expect.

Best of luck and your desire for furthering your education amidst your busy schedule is truly commendable!
