Looking for Generous Scholarships

Hey, guys! Need some advice here. My fam isn’t rich, and I really need scholarships to make college affordable. Do you know which colleges give out the most scholarships? Thanks in advance!

Sure, happy to help! A number of colleges are known for offering generous financial aid or merit scholarships to students.

Schools like Amherst College, Stanford, and Harvard are known for meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need. For these schools, provided you get accepted, your financial needs will be taken care of with a combination of grants, scholarships, and some student work expectations.

There are also schools like Vassar, Swarthmore, and Washington & Lee that are known for their need-based aid. Vanderbilt and Duke, for example, offer a range of merit scholarships, and they're a great option if you expect to have high earning potential after graduation.

More regional colleges like the University of Alabama, Arizona State University, and the University of Nevada, Reno provide significant merit scholarships, particularly to out-of-state students.

Also, don't forget the ROTC scholarships, which can be applied at a wide variety of schools and provide scholarships in exchange for a service commitment after graduation.

It's important to remember, however, that your eligibility will depend on several factors, including your family's income, your academic qualifications, and more. To get a better sense of the financial aid you could receive at a specific school, you can typically find a net price calculator on the school's financial aid website.

One last thing, scholarship deadlines can sometimes be earlier than admission deadlines, so make sure to get your applications in on time!
