Tracking colleges with the most NIL deals?

How's it going, guys? Just curious here. I've been hearing a lot about Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals for college athletes lately. Does anyone know which colleges have the most NIL deals?

Hey there! It's a bit tricky to provide a definitive list given the decentralized manner in which NIL deal information is reported. The information is still very fragmented because there isn't a central database where all NIL deals are disclosed. As of now, each student-athlete independently negotiates their NIL deals, so data isn't being tracked at a large scale systematically.

That said, some universities that have seen significant NIL deal activity mainly lean towards Power Five conferences due to their rich athletic history and large fanbase. Schools in these conferences -- ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC -- generally see more NIL deal activity. Top schools would likely be ones such as Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Texas, given their prominent athletic programs.

Just remember that NIL landscape is still in a phase of significant flux. As more states enact NIL legislation and more national-level guidance becomes available, it's quite possible that the list of schools with the most NIL deals could change. So, keep an eye out for news from organizations that govern college athletics, like the NCAA, and from the athletic departments of the schools themselves.
