Applying to VMI Military College

Hi everyone! I am considering applying to VMI Military College. Would anyone who has gone through the admission process at VMI be able to give me some advice? I would also love to hear about the overall experience at VMI, academically and otherwise. Thanks a lot!

Start your process by focusing on maintaining strong academics and being involved in notable leadership roles. Military service or JROTC involvement can be particularly notable, though not necessarily required. You should also start to prepare for the required fitness test, which can involve a 1-mile run, pull-ups, and sit-ups.

In terms of the overall experience at VMI, it is certainly unique as this institution combines a rigorous military lifestyle with a full college curriculum. It's a demanding environment with lots of regulations and discipline but could be very rewarding if you thrive under those circumstances.
