Are there online degree programs available through HBCUs?

Hey everyone, I've been exploring my options for college, and I'm really interested in attending an HBCU. However, due to my family circumstances, an online program might be the best fit for me. Does anyone know if HBCUs offer online degree programs, and if so, which ones have the strongest reputations? I'm trying to find a balance between the HBCU experience and the flexibility I need. Thanks in advance!

Absolutely, many HBCUs have embraced online education and offer a variety of online degree programs. One standout is Howard University, which offers online executive education programs. North Carolina Central University provides several online options including Criminal Justice and Hospitality & Tourism.

Hampton University also has extensive online offerings, including in business and nursing. Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), known for its rich history, offers online degrees like Public Health and Business.

It's a great way to get the HBCU experience with the flexibility you need. To gauge a program's strength, look at graduation rates, faculty qualifications, and resources available to online students. Also consider accreditation and see if the school has any notable alumni.

Check each university’s official website for the most current information on available online programs. Best of luck finding that perfect program for you!
