It's quite subjective as beauty can mean different things to different people, but according to numerous lists and conversations with students, here are some colleges that are often singled out for their stunning campuses:

1. Pepperdine University: Known for its dramatic ocean views in Malibu, CA.

2. University of Colorado Boulder: Set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

3-4. Dartmouth College and Middlebury College: These New England campuses are particularly striking with the changing seasons.

5. University of Virginia: Famous for its historical architecture.

6. Stanford University: Has a Mediterranean climate and Spanish Colonial architecture across a vast California campus.

7. Lewis & Clark College: In Portland, has Pacific Northwest beauty with lots of greenery.

8. Berry College: Has the world's largest campus, featuring forests, fields, and historical stone buildings.

9. University of Notre Dame: Known for its iconic Golden Dome and cathedral.

10. Princeton University: Features a mix of collegiate gothic and modern architecture.

In the South, schools like College of Charleston and Wake Forest University and in the Midwest, schools like Northwestern University with its location by Lake Michigan are particularly noteworthy. In the desert southwest, University of Arizona and Arizona State University boast unique appealing campus aesthetics.

However, do remember, while a beautiful setting gives the college an aesthetic appeal, the academic rigor, course offerings, extracurricular opportunities, financial aspect, and the overall community should hold more weight in your decision. It might also be helpful to consider visiting these campuses or taking a virtual tour to really get a feel for them.
