Can Someone List Texas Military Colleges?

Heyya, I live in Texas and am looking to continue my education at a military college post-high school. I'm having a hard time finding a list of military colleges here in Texas. Could anyone provide me with the names or possibly experiences at these colleges?

Absolutely, there are several military colleges in Texas that you can consider.

1. Texas A&M University: Texas A&M maintains a strong military culture through its Corps of Cadets. This is a student-led, military-style organization that forms the oldest student group on campus. The Corps provides leadership development and military training and is also a pathway to becoming an officer in the U.S. armed forces for many cadets.

2. The University of Texas at Austin: While not a military university per se, UT Austin does have Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs for the Army, Air Force, and Navy/Marine.

3. University of North Texas: The University of North Texas also has an Army ROTC program available for students interested in a military career.

4. Texas State University: Located in San Marcos, this university offers an Army ROTC program for students.

5. Rice University: Located in Houston, Rice University also offers an Army ROTC program.

6. Tarleton State University: This university has an Army ROTC program and is also a member of The Texas A&M University System.

7. St. Mary's University: This is a private university located in San Antonio and offers an Army ROTC program.

8. University of Houston: Another university that is not a military college, but does offer robust ROTC programs for the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

While these are not exclusively military colleges like West Point or The Citadel, they do offer robust training programs for students who are interested in military service. The ROTC programs can also help offset some of your tuition costs because they generally offer scholarship options. You'll also have the opportunity to earn a commission as an officer upon graduation. Remember that participating in these programs generally results in a service commitment after graduation, so make sure to consider this in your college decision process. Good luck!
