The decision between going to college or joining the military right after high school is personal and unique to everyone. Some factors you might want to consider are:

1. Financial Situation: Is the cost of college a significant concern for you? The military can offer a range of benefits, including the G.I. Bill which can pay for your college education after your term of service.

2. Career Goals: Do you have a clear idea of what you want to do for your career? If yes, does it require a college degree, or would military training provide a more direct path? For example, if you're interested in cybersecurity, the military has specialized training programs that could give you hands-on experience.

3. Personal maturity and readiness: Do you feel ready for college now, or do you feel that you could benefit from a few more years of life experience and discipline that the military might provide?

4. Educational Opportunities in the Military: Some branches of the military, such as the Navy, offer the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate Program, which pays for the remaining years of your bachelor's degree. Similarly, the Army offers the Green to Gold program where enlisted soldiers can get commissioned as officers while earning their degrees.
