Any recommendations for top military junior colleges?

I'm thinking about easing my way into college through a junior college and I'm also considering joining the military. It seems like a military junior college could be a nice fit for me. Do you guys have any recommendations for such institutions?

This sounds like a smart strategy to ease into college life while also discerning a potential career in the military! While there aren't many, there are a couple of military junior colleges in the United States that are worth considering:

1. Georgia Military College: This two-year college offers a military-focused curriculum where students can earn associate's degrees in different fields. It's true that emphasis is on military science and leadership, and a high percentage of its graduates also have success when transferring to four-year universities.

2. Marion Military Institute: Located in Alabama, this two-year college is the oldest military junior college in the nation. It prepares students for entry into the United States service academies, as well as other four-year universities. Its curriculum is well rounded with a concentration on leadership, military discipline, character development, and academic excellence.

Remember, if you're considering these colleges, to check if they offer a program and environment that aligns with your career and life goals. Should you later decide to transfer to a four-year college or directly enlist, both of these institutions have track records of effective preparation for their students' next steps.
