Which university campuses are considered the most beautiful in the US?

Hi everyone! I've been looking into colleges for next year, and for me, the atmosphere and aesthetics of the campus hold a lot of weight. I've seen photos but I want to hear from actual students/alums - which campuses have really blown you away with their beauty? Are there any that you think are underrated? Any insight could help me refine my college list.

Hello! When it comes to campus aesthetics, certain universities often come up due to their unique architectural styles, lush landscapes, or distinctive location-based characteristics. Here are some campuses that frequently garner admiration:

1. University of Virginia: The institution hosts a historic campus known for its Jeffersonian architecture (designed by Thomas Jefferson). Walking around, you'll come across beautiful white buildings, red-brick paths, and the famous Rotunda.

2. Dartmouth College: This Ivy League institution is nestled in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire. The mixture of the classic New England buildings and the surrounding natural beauty provides a tranquil environment that's hard to beat.

3. Stanford University: Known for its Spanish mission-style architecture and Palm Drive, the campus fixtures its famous Hoover Tower and a number of beautifully maintained gardens.

4. University of Colorado Boulder: With a backdrop of the stunning Rocky Mountains, this campus offers breathtaking views year-round.

5. Princeton University: Princeton's gothic architecture combined with its beautiful gardens provides a visually rich environment.

An underrated campus in my perspective is Sewanee: The University of the South. It's often overlooked due to its relatively small size and secluded location in Tennessee, but it spans 13,000 acres on the Cumberland Plateau, leading to some stunning forest and cliffside views.

Remember, while a beautiful campus can enhance your college experience, it is equally important to consider academic resources, the culture, and opportunities for research or internships in your chosen field.
