Which colleges have the most billionaire alumni?

Does anyone have a ranked list or any insights into which colleges have the most billionaire alumni? I have a number of extracurriculars in entrepreneurship and leadership, and so knowing which colleges aren't just theoretically good at fostering that, but have a proven record, would be really helpful for my decision-making process.

There isn't a definitive, easy to find ranked list, but I can provide some insights based on publicly available sources.

1. Harvard University: Perhaps unsurprisingly, Harvard tops the list of schools with the most billionaire alumni. Graduates from Harvard's undergraduate college and professional schools (like the Business School and Law School) have gone on to make significant contributions globally.

2. Stanford University: Particularly known for producing technology and startup billionaires thanks to its close proximity to Silicon Valley. Its graduate School of Business has an impressive list of wealthy alumni.

3. University of Pennsylvania: Penn, and specifically the Wharton School, has not only produced several billionaire alumni, but also has a solid reputation for its focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.

4. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): Known for its rigorous engineering and computer science programs, MIT also cultivates a startup culture which has resulted in a solid list of billionaire graduates.

5. University of California, Berkeley: Like Stanford, Berkeley benefits from being close to Silicon Valley. It has a strong reputation in both engineering and entrepreneurship.

6. Yale University & Columbia University: Both have impressive lists of financially successful alumni, although they're traditionally known more for fields like law, medicine, and the arts rather than entrepreneurship.

7. University of Chicago: Particularly its Booth School of Business has been home to numerous successful entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

Remember, choosing a college based solely on its number of wealthy alumni might not be the best approach. It's also crucial to consider factors like academic programs, campus culture, cost, and how well the college fits with your personal goals and ambitions. That said, the fact that many successful businesspeople have emerged from these schools could be a testament to the strength of their programs and networks.
