Schools with High On-Campus Living Rates?

Hey folks, I'm kinda worried about my post-high school plans. I've been thinking about living on campus and am wondering if any of you could give me some insight into which colleges have high percentages of students living on campus? This aspect of campus life is really important to me!

Sure, I'd be happy to help you with this. When it comes to colleges with high on-campus living rates, small, private, liberal arts colleges tend to top the list. Here are some examples:

1. Connecticut College, where about 98% of students live on campus. They have a four-year on-campus living requirement, but an exception can be sought after junior year.

2. Bowdoin College in Maine has approximately 96% of the students living on campus.

3. Colby College, also in Maine, has about 95% of its students living on campus. Colby has policy that students live on campus for all four years.

Apart from small, private institutions, there are larger universities as well that have a majority of students residing on campus.

1. Stanford University in California has 89% of undergraduates living on campus.

2. Rice University in Texas has 89% of students living on campus. They have a unique residential college system similar to that of Oxford and Cambridge.

3. The University of Notre Dame in Indiana has about 82% of students living on campus.

Remember to consider other factors in your college search beyond on-campus living, including academic programs, faculty-to-student ratio, culture, and opportunities for extracurricular involvement that align with your interests. All of these factors also contribute to your college experience. However, it's great that you are focusing on specifics that matter to you. Good luck with your search!
