Which are the most popular colleges right now?

Just out of curiosity, what are the most applied-to or most popular colleges at the moment?

There are various ways to gauge the popularity of a college, including the number of applications received, the yield rate (the percentage of accepted students who decide to enroll), and various other factors. However, typically, schools like the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), and the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) are among the most applied-to colleges. These colleges receive a large number of applications annually.

Ivy League schools like Harvard, Yale, and Princeton may not receive as many applications, but they have very high yield rates, indicating a strong desire amongst accepted students to attend. Public schools, especially state universities, also tend to have large applicant pools due to in-state tuition benefits and accessibility. For instance, the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) and the University of Wisconsin, Madison (UW Madison) typically have a high volume of applications.

Please note that popularity doesn't necessarily equate to quality or fit. The "best" school will be different for everyone and will depend on factors such as the academic programs offered, campus culture, cost, location, and so on.
