What are the most chill colleges out there?

Hey peeps, while some might dig the whole competitive and high-stress environment at some colleges, that's not really my jam. Do you guys know of any colleges known for having a more relaxed, less-stress philosophy?

Absolutely, there are definitely colleges out there known for their more laid-back culture. Here are a few that I'd recommend checking out:

1. Reed College (Portland, OR): While it offers a rigorous liberal arts curriculum, its campus vibe is quite relaxed. Reed is known for its unique traditions and collaborative academic environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity.

2. Brown University (Providence, RI): Brown might be a surprise, being an Ivy League school and all. But its Open Curriculum allows students to take any courses they wish without any general education requirements, which fosters a more relaxed academic atmosphere.

3. Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA): Evergreen practices a non-traditional instructional method where it doesn't give out grades. Instead, students receive narrative evaluations from their professors.

4. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC): Despite being a large public university, UNC Chapel Hill is often cited for having a relaxed campus vibe thanks to its location in a small town and its friendly student body.

5. Colorado College (Colorado Springs, CO): They utilize a Block Plan' where students take only one course at a time for 3.5 weeks, which can potentially lower the stress of juggling multiple classes.

It's still important to remember that college, wherever you go, will inevitably come with some degree of stress—especially around exam season, but these colleges are generally known for their supportive and laid-back environments. I'd still encourage you to visit (if possible) or check out virtual tours to get a feel for what campus life is like at each of these schools.
