Popular Pennsylvania Colleges

Hey there! I'm beginning my college search and Pennsylvania has caught my eye. I'm really curious to know which colleges are the most popular in Pennsylvania. Can anyone help guide me in the right direction?

Starting with Ivy League and highly selective schools, you might have heard of the University of Pennsylvania, often shortened to Penn. It's located in Philadelphia and is well-known for its strong business program at the Wharton School, though it holds high rankings across many departments.

Moving onto large state schools, Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) and University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) are big public universities that offer a breadth of majors and have a strong presence in athletics.

As for liberal arts colleges, you have Swarthmore College, Haverford College, and Bryn Mawr College (for women) which are part of the Tri-College Consortium, meaning students at each of these colleges can cross-register courses at the other two.
